The months and months (and months) of waiting for Sombra is about to be over as soon as your PlayStation can manage to download Overwatch’s new update.

BOOP, Sombra is here!

Overwatch’s big update is now live for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox One. And Sombra will not be the only thing that’s included. Almost all of the major announcements Blizzard made about upcoming Overwatch features during BlizzCon will also be released with this update.

Arcade Mode will be making its debut, which will allow you to select from a variety of new game modes: 1v1, 3v3, as well as a selection of brawls with fun specific rules. Arcade Mode will be replacing Overwatch’s current Weekly Brawl. Blizzard has also added an incentive to playing Arcade Mode: win a certain number of matches within Arcade and receive free loot boxes.

Hand in hand with Arcade Mode, the new map Ecopoint Antarctica will also be included in the update. Ecopoint Antarctica is a more compact map, and will only be playable with 1v1 and 3v3 matches.

Adjustments to Competitive Play will also be added with this update even though season 3 will not start until Nov. 30. Season 2 is slated to end Nov. 23. During the offseason, you will be able to play matches under Competitive Rules but results will not effect skill rating.

Lastly, Blizzard has included a variety of hero balance changes, something that has become expected with every new patch. Notable changes include Ana’s nano boost no longer increasing movement speed, Mercy gaining faster self-healing, and Pharah no longer needing to ever touch the ground.

Happy hacking, my friends.
