The Washington Redskins have quietly established themselves as a player in the NFC, after sneaking away with the NFC East title last season. This year, they are right in the thick of things again, and quarterback Kirk Cousins is playing his way into a big contract from owner Dan Snyder. Incredibly, he has been excelling without much help at the wide receiver position, and it may be time for the team to move on from star DeSean Jackson.

Though they have some holes on their offensive and defensive line, the Redskins should make an investment in Cousins and get him a first round wide receiver. USC’s JuJu Smith-Schuster is about as good as it gets in college football, and has played under the big microscope that is Trojans football. He can do everything on the football field, including going deep at any time, which is something Cousins loves to do.

The Redskins need to make Cousins their long term solution at the position and run with it. Smith-Schuster has been an absolute beast since Sam Darnold has become the Trojans starting quarterback, and there are many similarities to his style and that of Cousins. The NFC East is loaded with talent, and if the Redskins want to hang in on a yearly basis, they need play makers like JuJu.
