Draftkings NFL Cash Game Lineup – Week 11

The 2016 season is chugging along and we are already in week 11! By this point, we are already locked into the players that are performing well and it is a matter of adjusting for match-ups, injuries and value plays that may present themselves each week. Some of the chalk has been bumpy lately but, week 11 is packed with good match-ups and high floor picks. Therefore, after performing my due diligence and looking at all the relevant stats and adjusting for intangibles…I present my Draftkings NFL Cash Game Lineup for Week 11:

Quarterback: There are some great chalky picks at QB this week. I could easily go with Brady, Brees or Newton but, I believe my pick has a shot at performing at the same level for a much cheaper price tag. Kirk Cousins is up against Green Bay in week 11. Cousins gives us a higher floor than most QB’s in his tier but, granted the ceiling is not as high as others. However, his match up with the Packers positions him well this week.

Green Bay is ranked in the middle of the pack in most defensive passing stats. However, they are ranked 28th & 29th in DVOA against the WR1 & WR2, respectively. Add to this that the over/under is posted at 50.5, game flow is hedging towards a shootout and the Redskins are at home…and I see a good afternoon for Cousins.

Running Backs: There are two teams in the NFL that standout head over heels when talking about the worst run defenses. San Francisco and Cleveland have been consistently horrible against the run in every capacity. They have also been giving up the most fantasy points to running backs in 2016. So this is a week when I will go against conventional wisdom and pay up to get the opposing backs. Therefore, my running back selections for Week 11 are Le’Veon Bell playing Cleveland and LeGarrette Blount playing San Francisco. Both backs have played at a high level and frankly there is not much more to say than San Francisco is ranked 32nd and Cleveland is ranked 31st in FP’s given up to running backs.

Wide Receivers: Last week Mike Evans was held to four catches for 66 yards coming off the concussion protocol. In nine out of ten tries, Evans will win a matchup with Tracy Porter but, last week was an aberration. It will also be fodder for this week as Evans is itching to get back to being one of the best and most highly targeted receiver in the NFL. I am confident that he will get right this week against the Chiefs secondary. Most of his routes will originate on Gaines’ side of the field and thus, he will avoid Peters a good deal. Phillip Gaines is rated a 39.5 by Pro Football Focus and if you are uncertain…that’s really bad! I see Evans having a monster day.

We talked earlier about the Green Bay match-up and I am going back to that well, to stack Jamison Crowder with Cousins. As mentioned, Green Bay is ranked 29th against the WR2 in DVOA and Crowder has been on fire lately. With a floor of 14.4 over the last three weeks, Crowder is a solid cash play that has a high floor and a high ceiling.

Finally, the Carolina vs New Orléans game has the highest over/under of week 11 at 52 points. When these two teams play, many points are scored. Willie Snead has a great slot match-up with

Leonard Johnson who is graded a 42.6 and is not even ranked among corner backs by Pro Football Focus. Snead had a solid outing last week and reached the end zone twice against the Broncos. Carolina has played better the last couple of weeks but, they still have weaknesses in the secondary. Considering Snead’s match-up with Johnson, I feel it is a safe bet that he reaches the end zone again this week!

Tight End: There are a number of chalky picks at tight end this week. But, I am going to stay with the Saints-Panthers match-up. The two glaring weaknesses in Carolina’s defense are their slot coverage and their tight end coverage. Carolina is ranked 29th in tight end fantasy points given up. Further, they are ranked 24th by Football Outsiders in DVOA against TE coverage and 19th overall in DVOA pass defense. If there is one way to beat Carolina, it is through the air. Drew Brees is one of the best passers and knows how to exploit weaknesses. I see a solid outing for Fleener.

Flex: So far I have been fairly chalky in building my Draftkings NFL Cash Game Lineup for week 11. The next two picks will be value related but, still good cash game picks. Kansas City has been decimated by injury at the wide receiver position. This has allowed a very speedy receiver, Tyreek Hill, to step up.

Jeremy Maclin is expected to miss another week of action so Hill is the clear beneficiary. Hill is a player I have followed all year as I projected him to break out in the Chiefs receiving corp. He is noted as one of the fastest players in the NFL, is a vaunted deep threat and has quickly become the 2nd best offensive threat to Spencer Ware.  Tampa Bay is ranked 30th in wide receiver FP’s given up and Hill has exceeded 20 fantasy points twice in the last three weeks. Up to this point, I had only played Hill in GPP lineups but, I feel confident enough in him this week to use him in my cash game lineup.

Defense: Based upon my picks, I am funneled into the low tier on defense but, do not fret, I see a solid value pick. The Eagles are coming off of a week where they virtually shutdown the best offense in football. They held the Falcons to 15 points and 303 total yards with 48 of it rushing. Despite the game being in Seattle, I see the Eagles holding tough and getting to Wilson and possibly even winning this game. But more importantly, the good defensive effort will translate to FP’s on defense.
