High Value PG

Darren Collison-Sacramento Kings (5,900): Collison could be moving  back into Sacramento’s starting lineup tonight although nothing is official as of this morning. He has been playing well in starters’ minutes off the bench with at least 23 fantasy points in each of his last three games. Collison takes on the Clippers in the late game tonight, so he’ll have to tangle with Chris Paul, but he has a lot of potential for a player who costs less than 6K.

Ish Smith-Detroit Pistons (5,400): Smith is playing on borrowed time as Reggie Jackson works his way back for the Pistons. However, at least he’s playing well on it recently. Smith has at least 25 fantasy points in three straight and four of his last five games. H played a season-high 35 minutes against the Knicks on Wednesday and had a sold 14 points and eight assists for 29.4 fantasy points. Tonight, he’ll help the Pistons take on their division-rival Cavs for the first time this season and makes a low-risk play at 5.4K although his ceiling isn’t quite as high as Collison’s. ∗∗∗

Tony Parker-San Antonio Spurs (4,500): Since returning from a three-game absence due to a knee injury, Parker has played well for San Antonio and looked like he still has enough left in the tank to be fantasy relevant. Parker has at least 22 fantasy points in each of his last three games and posted a season-high 28.1 fantasy points on Wednesday against the Kings on 14 points and seven assists. The Spurs get the weekend off after this game, so there’s no obvious reason Greg Popovich would limit his minutes. He’s still a little risky, though, in a matchup with the younger guards of the Lakers.

Jameer Nelson-Denver Nuggets (3,800): Nelson is getting more minutes with Gary Harris Jr. sidelined again for the Nuggets. He had a solid 19.2 fantasy points against the Suns with 17 points in 34 minutes on Wednesday. He’s a flier you can roll with if you have to spend under 4K on a PG since his minutes are pretty secure right now given Denver’s injury situation.
