High Value SG

Jordan Clarkson-Los Angeles Lakers (5,000): Clarkson has embraced his role as the Lakers super-sub and continues to be productive despite some uncertain minutes due to his role off the bench. He had 30.3 fantasy points against the Nets on Tuesday with 13 points, four rebounds, three assists, and five steals in 28 minutes. He has at least 27 fantasy points in three of his last five, but his production tends to be uneven sine some games the Lakers don’t rely on their bench as much. With the Spurs in town, though, they’ll need Clarkson tonight, so I like him at only 5K.∗∗

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope-Detroit Pistons (4,900): KCP continues to be a good bargain at under 5K and has put up at least 24 fantasy points in four of his last five games. He had a season-high 36.7 fantasy points last Friday against the Suns and has put together games of 24.1, 21.2, 25.6, and 30.3 fantasy points since that contest. The Cavs are allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game in the NBA to opposing SG, so I like the matchup for Caldwell-Pope to put up big numbers again tonight. ∗∗

J.J. Redick-Los Angeles Clippers (4,500): The Clippers have been rolling to star the season and quietly J.J. Redick is giving them really nice production from his starting SG spot. Redick has at least 18 points in three straight games and went off for 29 points against the Grizzlies on Wednesday. He doesn’t offer a ton of non-scoring stats, but he is in a good enough matchup tonight against the Kings that you can rely on his scoring and make him your sub-5K SG play.

Seth Curry-Dallas Mavericks (4,100):  Curry will get plenty of playing time tonight against the Grizzlies. The Mavs lost J.J. Barea for an extended time on Wednesday and Deron Williams re-injured the calf that has already sidelined him for four games. With Williams a gametime call trading towards not playing, Curry could end up with tons of minutes with the starters tonight. He didn’t do much on Wednesday in 32 minutes finishing with just 14.8 fantasy points, but he did have two games last week with 38.8 fantasy points agains the Lakers and 35.7 fantasy points against the Warriors reminding everyone of the upside that he showed at the end of last season. Curry is a good cheap play tonight especially if Williams is out. No D-Will-∗∗∗∗ With Williams-∗∗∗
