Live stream and how to watch the UMass Minutemen (2-8) at BYU Cougars (6-4) on television and online on Saturday, Nov. 19.

The matchup between the UMass Minutemen and the BYU Cougars marks a battle royale against two independent teams in a first-time ever meeting.

The Cougars welcome UMass to Provo just one week after becoming bowl-eligible with their win against Southern Utah last week. The Minutemen are looking to notch another FBS win after a nine-week drought against FBS teams.

BYU has been adjusting to the season under new head coach Kalani Sitake. After a rough start, the Cougars have gotten back on track with wins in five of the last six games.

Some of the key BYU players to watch are freshman KJ Hall and linebackers Fred Warner, Francis Bernard, and Butch Pau’u. They have been playing in close games all season, including a one-point loss at Boise State.

On the other side of the fence is UMass, led by veteran head coach Mark Whipple. On one hand the Minutemen are just trying to get through the end of the season, but picking up another FBS victory would sweeten the pot.

They’re a young team with plenty of rising stars in the offense; sophomore quarterback Andrew Ford and his 22 touchdowns this season and running back Marquis Young has been averaging 74 yards per game.

The Cougars have home field advantage in this game and they’re riding a three-game winning streak at home. There’s no question that BYU also holds the advantage in almost every other area; their physical play will be a tough match for the Minutemen, but after this season’s track record for upset wins, anything could happen in this first-time meeting.
