High Value C

Joel Embiid-Philadelphia 76ers (5,500): “The Process” continues tonight for the Sixers as he take on the Suns in what should be a great matchup for him. Embiid had a ten-point, ten-rebound double-double unjust 22 minutes against the T-Wolves for 22 fantasy points. He has posted back-to-back double-doubles now and has at least 22 fantasy points in each of his last five games. His minutes-cap is still what holds him back, but for tonight’s matchup he should be a solid buy at this price.

Robin Lopez-Chicago Bulls (4,700): RoLo and the Bulls are in LA to take on the Clippers tonight. He will be looking for his fourth straight double-double after not posting one in his first nine games of the season. He has at least 27 fantasy points in each of his last four games and should be a nice value tonight against the Clippers big men even though they are holding opposing C’s to the second-lowest fantasy points per game in the NBA. ∗∗

Bismack Biyombo-Orlando Magic (4,100): Biyombo has at least 14.9 fantasy points in ten straight and is producing solid numbers coming off the bench for the Magic. He is playing over 20 minutes a game in most contests and providing solid blocks, boards, and a little bit of scoring. Nikola Vucevic has been struggling which could lead to more time for Bis if he keeps producing at an efficient level. He doesn’t have a super-high ceiling, but he is worth watching to see how much playing time he gets in a good matchup against Dallas.

Alan Williams-Phoenix Suns (3,500): With a nickname like “Big Sauce,” Alan Williams deserves attention, but as an under-sized post player he’s had a long road to the NBA. He played well in the summer league, though, and had the game of his career last night against the Packers. Coming off the bench behind Alex Len, Williams went off for 15 points and 15 rebounds on his way to 39.5 fantasy points. He had totaled just 7.6 fantasy points in the first 12 games of the season, but he looked great last night. It will be interesting to see how much run he gets tonight against the Sixers, but I think it’ll be Len who has the big game tonight. However, if you are punting the center spot, Williams is a flier who should get some time tonight and a chance to build on his out-of-nowhere game last night. If you’re going cheap, order up some Big Sauce.
