High Salary PF

Anthony Davis-New Orleans Pelicans (11,400): Davis returned to action last night after missing a game on Wednesday against Orlando. He definitely came back with a DFS bang dropping 67.8 fantasy points on the Blazers finishing with 38-9-6 to go with four blocks and two steals. It was his first game over 60 fantasy points since the first of November and raised his average for the season to 54.8 fantasy points per game. Davis didn’t seem hampered at all by his quad injury and played 37 minutes. He’ll take the floor again tonight at the Smoothie King Center as the Pelicans welcome in the Hornets. Charlotte has been playing well, but their defense against opposing big men is spotty at times. If you can get his salary under your cap, Davis should be set up for success again tonight. ∗∗

Blake Griffin-Los Angeles Clippers (8,800): If you can’t scrape together over 11K for “The Brow,” Blake is a solid alternative in the late game against the Bulls. Griffin had a season-high 29 points last night against the Kings and has at least 20 points in six straight contests. He has been extremely reliable lately wit at least 37 fantasy points in eight straight games, and he has stepped up even more in his last two with 45.1 and 50.4 fantasy points. Tonight, he’ll take on Taj Gibson, but even on the second half of a back-to-back I like Blake to be worth his almost 9K salary. ∗∗

Jabari Parker-Milwaukee Bucks (6,500): Parker has a ton of upside and continues to flash real potential in his third season in the NBA. However, he still isn’t nearly as consistent as Blake or the other elite PF options. Parker has put together over 39 fantasy points in four of his last seven contests, but he has also been held under 25 fantasy points in two of his last three and five of his last nine. Parker is a boom-or-bust play, but he should be fired up to take on the Warriors in Milwaukee tonight. How the Warriors rotation will look (due to rest) and how that will affect Parker’s playing time is another wildly unpredictable risk factor, but Parker has enough upside to be a high-risk, high-reward play tonight.
