High Value PF

Gorgui Dieng-Minnesota Timberwolves (5,500): After a bit of a slump, Dieng is starting to come back around with 25.7 and 30.5 fantasy points in his last two contests against the Hornets and Sixers. Dieng was a regular in my FanDuel daily picks early in the season, but he hit a bit of a rough patch earlier this month. Tonight, he’ll look to take advantage of a team he thrived against earlier this year as he faces the Grizzlies. He had 35.2 fantasy points in the first matchup against Memphis, and he would be a steal at this price if he can produce that total again tonight. Dieng always gives you defense and rebounding, but his offense can sometimes come and go.∗∗

Terrence Jones-New Orleans Pelicans (5,000): Jones went back to the bench last night against the Blazers, but he still came through for my FanDuel daily picks. I am a huge fan of getting Jones more playing time, but Alvin Gentry’s strange rotation decisions have often come back to haunt me in the past. Jones has looked outstanding lately, though, with 34.5, 40.8, and 36.4 fantasy points in his last three games. The 40.8 fantasy points came in the game that Davis missed, but he’s proven he can also produce alongside Davis when given the chance. Jones had 15 points, seven rebounds, four blocks, two steals, and two assists last night in 31 minutes and hopefully the 30+ minutes is a range he’ll continue to be in tonight against the Hornets. The only reason Jones doesn’t have five stars is that I’ve been burned by counting on him getting playing time earlier this month (4.2 fantasy points against the Warriors and 11.3 fantasy points against the Lakers).∗∗∗∗

Alex Len-Phoenix Suns (4,800): Len looked pretty solid last night going for a quick 10-10 double-double against the Pacers in just 22 minutes. The playing time is a little surprising since Tyson Chandler was away from the team and many expected him to play more minutes. Len has three double-doubles in his last five games now while helping to cover for Chandler who will miss tonight’s game in Philadelphia as well. While the Sixers’ big men have shown a lot of promise, they also are giving up the fourth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing centers which sets up well for Len to have another solid game from under 5K.

Dario Saric-Philadelphia 76ers  (4,300): Saric has been a consistent value play as well, but his price has stayed affordable on FanDuel. He has at least 19 fantasy points in six straight games and posted 25.3 fantasy points against he T-Wolves on Thursday. Saric is a big part of Philly’s future and gets plenty of time and opportunity as a result even though he was recently moved to the bench to reduce the pressure on him. He’s lower risk than any other option at this price point due to his established role and consistent production. He also has a ton of long-term upside and is in a great matchup against the Suns who allow the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing PF.
