Manchester City’s narrow 2-1 win against Crystal Palace brought them level on points with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table.

Manchester City beat Crystal Palace 2-1 Saturday thanks to a brace from Yaya Toure, who was making his first league start of the season. City took the lead in the first half, but looked like they might drop points for the second match running when Connor Wickham equalized for the Eagles. Toure eventually secured all three points with a close-range finish to move the Citizens onto 27 points.

Liverpool were left frustrated away at Southampton. The Reds dominated for much of the contest, but struggled to create many clear cut chances and had to settle for a 1-1 draw. Roberto Firmino came closest, but poked his shot wide when played through by Philippe Coutinho. Jurgen Klopp’s side remain top of the table by virtue of having scored more goals than Manchester City.

Here’s the full table after seven Saturday games so far:

In the early kickoff, Manchester United drew 1-1 with Arsenal at Old Trafford. United looked back to their old selves, and seemed poised for a much needed win, but a late equalizer from substitute Olivier Giroud gave the Gunners a point.

Sunderland beat Hull 3-0 in a match with huge implications in the relegation battle. The Black Cats moved onto eight points, three from safety, with their second win in two matches after winning zero of their first 10. Things are looking up for David Moyes’ side, it seems.

Bournemouth secured an impressive 1-0 win away from home against a resurgent Stoke side, Watford beat Leicester 2-1 thanks to two early goals and Bob Bradley was denied his first win as Swansea manager by a late Seamus Coleman equalizer. The match ended 1-1. The result wasn’t great for either team, as the Swans remain rooted at the foot of the table and the Toffees continue their slide into seventh place.
