Cardinals at Vikings: Highlights, score and recap
The Minnesota Vikings are looking to end their huge losing streak when the Arizona Cardinals arrive at U.S. Bank Stadium in Week 11. Here are highlights, key players and a recap of the game.
In the NFC North, the Minnesota Vikings (5-4) have seen their division lead shrink to nothing. After winning their first five games, they have lost four in a row. Minnesota will look to end this losing streak when they host the Arizona Cardinals (4-4-1) in Week 11.
Encouraging for Minnesota is that Arizona has just one win on the road this season. Meanwhile, the Vikings are 3-1 at home this season. Maybe a home game against a struggling road team will help them get their season back on track.
One key for victory will be who wins the battle between the Cardinals offense and Minnesota’s defense. Both units are top 10 in the NFL, with Arizona averaging 382.0 yards a game and Minnesota giving up just 308.8 yards per game, third in the league. The Cardinals defense allows a mere 295.2 yards of offense per game, second in the NFL.
The Vikings must find a way to score in this game. Their offense ranks fifth worst in the league, scoring just 175 points. It’s up to Sam Bradford to make things happen with a very poor offensive line.

Three Stars
1. Carson Palmer
Despite their great numbers, Minnesota’s defense has been struggling. It’s more due to the amount of pressure on them with their offense slumping, but it’s happening regardless. Look for the Cardinals to take advantage of this. Palmer averages over 300 yards per game with 2,444 passing yards through his first eight games.
2. Larry Fitzgerald
With Captain Munnerlyn questionable, even if the Vikings corner does play, his ankle won’t be 100 percent. He’ll likely matchup against Larry Fitzgerald, so look for the Cardinals receiver to have a huge day. Through nine games, Fitzgerald has 686 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. He’s also a threat to score, especially in the red zone.
3. David Johnson
Palmer and Fitzgerald might get more attention, but the real star of Arizona’s offense is David Johnson. He has 1,446 yards from scrimmage, as the Cardinals love to use him both as a rusher and a receiver. Johnson has 10 total touchdowns and should be a huge factor in today’s game.
