Here’s what we learned from the Miami Dolphins coming back to defeat the Los Angeles Rams.

For most of four quarters on Sunday, it looked as if the Los Angeles Rams were going to get a shutout win over the Miami Dolphins in Jared Goff’s debut. Instead, the team gave up 14 points late in a heroic comeback from Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins picked up a fifth straight win on the season. Here’s what we learned from the game.

3. The Rams’ play-calling is atrocious

They might have been trying to protect Jared Goff on Sunday, but the Rams’ play-calling didn’t help him or the team. They went to conservative and refused to target deep down the field. Therefore, Goff had no experience of any kind when he needed to lead an improbable comeback drive. The Rams failed and it was another bad day at the office for Jeff Fisher.

2. Ryan Tannehill got a huge confidence boost

Ryan Tannehill got a huge confidence boost in this win. After throwing a bad pick earlier in the game, it looked as if he would be the reason Miami loses this game. Instead he led two huge scoring drives to give his team the win late against a good defense.

1. The Dolphins are in the Wild Card hunt

With five straight wins and six overall, the Miami Dolphins are firmly in the Wild Card hunt in the AFC. It’s going to be tough with the teams in the AFC West playing so well, but Miami has some easy games ahead on their schedule. They just need one to fall.
