Here’s what we learned from the Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
The Seattle Seahawks always know how to find their groove at the right time during the season. On Sunday, Seattle was flying high after a big win last week and they were able to take care of business at home against the Philadelphia Eagles. Carson Wentz did his best, but his receivers gave him no help at all. Here’s what we learned.
3. The Seahawks are getting hot at the right time again
It always feels like the Seattle Seahawks know exactly when to turn it on as a football team. They’re never a team that puts people away in September and October, but they get hot at the right time when November rolls around. They just have it down to a science and they’re continuing to get hot at the right time. They’re chasing a top seed and want a bye in the playoffs.
2. Carson Wentz showed tremendous poise in a hostile environment
Seattle is not an easy place to play for any quarterback. Between the crowd and their defense, Seattle feasts on opposing quarterbacks. Although it was a tough day at the office, Carson Wentz showed tremendous poise on the field. His receivers didn’t help him, but he took hits and delivered some great passes to keep his team moving the ball.
1. C.J. Prosise is becoming the next great back in the league
When the Seahawks took C.J. Prosise, they felt they had the next great running back in the NFL. While there are plenty of great young running backs, Prosise will enter the conversation soon. His 72-yard touchdown run on Sunday was a thing of beauty.
