USC reminds me of a wrestler who’s returned and now is ready to challenge the biggest toughest team on the block. The Trojans beat Washington and rival UCLA in back to back weeks to put the nation on notice, the Trojans are back. Head coach Clay Helton deserves a ton of credit for getting this team to battle back after such a trying start to the season. With a Colorado loss to Utah on Saturday, the Trojans will be playing in the Pac-12 Championship Game against Washington or Washington State. Not sure many of us saw that coming.

Now that Auburn has finished slapping around Alabama A&M, it’s now time for the main event of Auburn’s season. A trip to Alabama for the season finale better known as, The Iron Bowl. While Auburn has little chance of winning against the Crimson Tide, a good showing might give them a leg up on Florida when it comes to the team who takes the SEC’s bid in the Sugar Bowl. Coach Gus Malzahn has done a good job of exceeding expectations this season.
