The Jayhawks enter Monday with consecutive wins after beating Sienna on Friday. They also beat Duke by two points after a buzzer beater by star guard Frank Mason III. Mason is their leading scorer with 23.0 points per game. He also leads the Jayhawks in assists with 5.7 APG. Carlton Bragg, Jr. has been a defensive wizard for them, leading the team in rebounds and steals.
Their 87.3 PPG as a team ranks tied for 49th in the NCAA. However, their defense has been a bit concerning, as they rank tied for 292nd. UAB is led by junior forward Chris Cokley, who has the team highs in points per game (14.3) and rebounds a game (6.0). Sophomore guard Deion Lavender leads the team with 5.3 assists per game.
