Previous: . Philadelphia Eagles. 18. team. 54. RECAP: Philadelphia carried very little expectations traveling across the country to Seattle. With horrific play from their wide receivers and cornerbacks this year, the Eagles are still missing some key pieces on both sides. Carson Wentz handled the Seattle atmosphere like a champion, and kept Philadelphia in the game throughout. This could have been a game Philadelphia got away from, but they stayed close and could have won in the end. Injuries to both Ryan Mathews, Darren Sproles, and Halapoulivaati Vaitai hurt the offense down the stretch, signaling their lack of depth. Drops by Nelson Agholor, a clear first-round bust, could have been the difference.
Next Week: Philadelphia hosts Green Bay for Monday Night Football, and will look to remain undefeated at home. Ever since Veteran Stadium was demolished, Philadelphia fans have been looking to recreate a home field advantage. This year the advantage is real, and the team has played nearly perfect football at home.

Playoff hopes: It would take a lot of help from other teams for the Eagles to make the playoffs, but frankly they are not a playoff team. They have held their own in every game this season, and improvements have been seen. Philadelphia needs a couple more pieces, but they are on their way. It’s just not this year.
. 5-5
