On Tuesday night, the 3-0 Indiana Hoosiers will head to Fort Wayne, IN to take on the Fort Wayne Mastodons.
Recently, Indiana climbed to No. 3 in the polls after starting the season red-hot. They most notably beat then-No. 3 ranked Kansas, 103-99, in their opening game. The Hoosiers started at No. 11, but made the climb up after this one. It’s still very early in the season, but so far, so good for this school.
Through three games, Indiana has been led by guard James Blackmon Jr. He has exploded for 23.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. Blackmon is also shooting 56 percent from the field and 51 percent behind the arc.
The junior guard put up 26 points against Kansas, and added 23 and 20 in the following two games against UMass Lowell and Liberty. It has been a stand out performance thus far from this player who looks to be the key cog in Tom Crean’s offense so far.
OG Anunoby has looked impressive through three games as well. He has averaged 12.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.7 blocks per game. The sophomore forward had 10 points and 11 rebounds in the victory over Liberty on Saturday.
This game against Fort Wayne shouldn’t be a difficult task for the Hoosiers, who will look to get a win and move on to No. 4 UNC, who they play on Nov. 30.
