(8-5). Previous: . Houston Rockets. 9. team. 169. Not much has changed for the Houston Rockets. James Harden is still posting monster numbers (what he did to Dante Exum on Saturday night was just plain filthy). Mike D’Antoni still doesn’t have the time of day for defense. Clint Capela is still teasing us with his potential to make a leap. In Patrick Beverley’s two games back the Rockets have held teams under 110 points, which is an improvement. Yet, defense won’t be what keeps this team out of the playoffs, that would be injuies. As seen with Beverley’s extended absence, the Rockets are an injury to a key player away from being a shell of themselves as a team. Houston is probably the most fun team to watch outside of the top three teams on this list (Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors) and while fun is good, winning is better. As long as the wins keep coming for Harden and D’Antoni than everything else is an afterthought. Harden’s transition to the league’s leading assist man has been poetry in motion on the floor.
