Dalvin Cook. 9. player. 49. . RB. Florida State

The Green Bay Packers looked very bad on Sunday Night Football, as the Washington Redskins were able to come away with a three-score victory. The issue with the Packers this season has been a lack of a run game, and Aaron Rodgers just has not been able to carry the load. He has looked better in recent weeks, but his years of being able to throw the team to victories may be ended sooner than later.

Dalvin Cook is the kind of running back that can turn around a franchise, and the Packers need to bolster that position. Cook became Florida State’s all-time leading rusher this past weekend, and became the first ACC player to rack up 4,000 yards rushing in only three seasons. He has the kind of game-changing ability the Packers need if they are going to get back to the playoffs.

Rodgers is still one of the better signal-callers in the game, but he needs help. Adding Cook would give him a safety valve he has not had in quite some time, and it is clear that Eddie Lacy’s days as a feature back are over. With Cook’s size and speed, he should be able to step right in and carry the ball 25 times at the NFL level next season. He is only a junior, but the odds are that he is done in Tallahassee.
