High Value PF
Serge Ibaka-Orlando Magic (5,900): Ibaka’s recent play has been one of the few things that has been trending the right direction for the Magic and he’s in a great matchup tonight against the Suns. Ibaka has at least eight rebounds in six straight games and has added at least 15 points in four of his last five dating back to his monster game with 50.25 fantasy points against the Thunder. He has over 34 fantasy points in each of his last two games and should easily get that many tonight in since the Suns are allowing the third most fantasy points per game in the NBA to opposing PF.∗∗∗∗
Zach Randolph-Memphis Grizzlies (5,100): Randolph has been a solid contributor for banged-up Memphis all season although his minutes have been limited. Randolph has at least 25 fantasy points in five of his last six games although he has only produced 30 fantasy points in one of his last ten. He’s a solid play with a limited ceiling tonight agains the 76ers, but he could be called on for more work since so many Grizzlies are hurting.∗∗∗
Jon Leuer-Detroit Pistons (4,600): Leuer has been a regular in my DraftKings daily picks as one of the best ways to save money on PF. He put up a dud on Saturday against the Celtics going scoreless in 21 minutes but bounced back with 12 points and eight boards for 23 fantasy points against the Rockets on Monday. He has at least 23 fantasy points in five of his last six games and eight of his last ten. He makes sense as a play under 5K especially against the Heat who don’t have many PF options in their rotation at this point. ∗∗∗∗
Trey Lyles-Utah Jazz (4,800): Lyles looks like he’ll continue to start for the Jazz for as long as Derrick Favors is sidelined. He had a great game against Houston on Saturday with 27.25 fantasy points in his first start in place of Favors but only had 16.5 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Sunday. He’ll face Denver again tonight and is a high-risk, high-reward play at just under 5K.∗∗
Larry Nance Jr.-Los Angeles Lakers (4,00): Nance came through last night for the Lakers and my DraftKings daily picks picking up some extra playing time while Julius Randel was sidelined and finishing with 22 fantasy points pm 8-4-2 wth two steals and a block. Nance could get the start tonight if Randle can’t play through his hip pointer issue (early indications are Randle will be out). While the Warriors have a tendency to make more traditional big men unusable, Nance had 12-9-2 against them in 30 minutes earlier this season when he finished with 27.75 fantasy points. If you need a cheap forward, he’s my favorite 4K option by far.∗∗∗∗
