Upset of The Week – Iowa over No. 16 Nebraska

Maybe I’ve been the boy who cried wolf one too many times with the Hawkeyes this season – picking them to win games they lose and vice versa. But I promise you that this will be the time where we get this thing right when it comes to picking the men from Iowa City.

In reality, this game is more about the fact that Nebraska is nowhere near the team they were a month ago. Quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. is likely going to be a game-time decision – and even if he does play, the Cornhuskers are going to have their backs against the wall trying to stop the run game of the Hawkeyes on the road.

It wasn’t all that long ago that the Cornhuskers were one of the teams competing for the Big Ten West division – and then, back to back losses to Wisconsin and Ohio State by a combined score of 85-20 sent those dreams out the window.

It’s not going to be a blowout by any stretch of the imagination, but the Hawkeyes have just enough on both offense and defense to get out of here with the win.
