High Value SF

Wilson Chandler-Denver Nuggets (5,900): Chandler has been a meaningful contributor for the Nuggets this season and is serving as the team’s super-sub off the bench. He had a couple of down games against the strong defense of the Jazz (22.3 and 22.8 fantasy points) but he has over 34 in his last three games against teams-not-from-Utah. Chandler gets a nice matchup tonight against the Thunder in what should be a high-scoring game. He’ll be worth even more if Danilo Gallinari is out, but he’s worth considering either way. Gallo in-∗ Gallo out-

Maurice Harkless-Portland Trail Blazers (4,500): Harkless has found a nice niche with the Blazers even though there are a number of options for Portland to use at their two forward slots. He has scored in double digits in each of his last five contests and had 30.4 fantasy points in a solid 11-7-2 line against the Cavs on Wednesday. Harkless has at least 24 fantasy points in five of his last seven games and has the upside to get to 30 fantasy points in a good matchup against New Orleans tonight. He’s a little risky, but his strong run of recent play makes him an option to look at tonight.

Robert Covington-Philadelphia 76ers (4,300): Covington was a standout for Wednesday’s FanDuel daily picks when I liked him as a flier against Memphis. I never though he would log a crazy, double-OT-boosted 46 minutes and finish with 40 fantasy points on 19-10-2 along with three blocks and three assists. Even though his shot has been as streaky as always (and mostly cold), Covington has become an important piece of the Sixers’ defense and is on the floor for plenty of time to make him a flier pickup again tonight as he faces the Bulls.

James Johnson-Miami Heat (3,900): The Heat have been without promising young SG Justise Winslow the last few games which has opened the door for Johnson to get more minutes and put together some very nice fantasy production. Johnson played 35 minutes in Miami’s blowout loss on Wednesday finishing with 15-4-2 for 28.8 fantasy points. He has at least 26 fantasy points in three of his last four games and he should get the run to be a factor again tonight for Miami as they visit Memphis for the first half of their back-to-back home-and-home.

DeMarre Carroll-Toronto Raptors (3,800): Carroll is still sitting out one half of back-to-backs, but when he has played he has looked healthy and starting to rediscover his form. he had 17 points and 25.8 fantasy points on Sunday against Sacramento and followed that with another season-high of 20 points on his way to a very impressive 38.6 fantasy points against the Rockets in Houston. If Carroll can continue to produce across the statsheet from his SF spot, look for his price to rise and the Raptors to continue to emerge as one of the challengers to Cleveland’s supremacy in the Eastern Conference.
