3. Elite recruiter

Because of his likable nature and great personality, Orgeron has always been a great recruiter of players at all of his previous places of employment. It might be his greatest skill as a coach. People love Orgeron and that’s fantastic for the Tigers football team.

Not only is Orgeron great with recruits and their parents, but he has built several outstanding professional relationships over the years as an assistant coach. His likability will allow him to cultivate a strong staff in his second gig as a Division I college football head coach.

Orgeron would be the lynchpin to tie elite assistant coaches to the elite football talent LSU will certainly have over the next several seasons. He has great leadership qualities that go beyond the tangible measurements in college football coaching.

For LSU to get back to being a perennial contender to win the SEC and National Championships, it will need a great unifier as head coach. Orgeron brings people of all walks of life together. He’ll bring back the family vibe necessary to win at a high level at LSU.
