The No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the No. 13 Auburn Tigers in the 2016 Iron Bowl, 30-12. Here are the highlights, the game recap, and the final score.

The 2016 Iron Bowl between the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide and the No. 13 Auburn Tigers was tight through the first half. Alabama would get a pair of field goals and a touchdown pass from Jalen Hurts to ArDarius Stewart to take 13 points into halftime.

However, Auburn would keep it close with a pair of Daniel Thomas interceptions and a trio of Daniel Carlson field goals. Despite losing magnificently in the first-half yards department 263-31, Auburn would only trail Alabama 13-9 heading into the second half at Bryant-Denny Stadium in the 2016 Iron Bowl.

Alabama would extend its lead on a four-yard Hurts touchdown scamper on it first possession of the second half. Down 20-9, Auburn would put together its best offensive drive to that point, but couldn’t muster any points. Carlson would miss a long 52-yard field goal.

The Crimson Tide would go for it on fourth down just inside Auburn territory. Hurts would the proceed to connect with Stewart on a 38-yard touchdown pass. That score would put Alabama up 27-9 on the Tigers on the Adam Griffith made PAT.

From there, Alabama would take over by wearing out the Auburn front-seven on the ground with its multitude of five-star running backs. Alabama would constrict Auburn like an anaconda and not let the Tigers get into the end zone. The Crimson Tide would win convincingly, 30-12 in the 81st installment of the Iron Bowl.
