Michigan Wolverines star junior linebacker Jabrill Peppers gets very confrontational with an Ohio State Buckeyes fan who was on the field in the Horseshoe.

The No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes were able to hold off the No. 3 Michigan Wolverines in double overtime of the 2016 installment of The Game. It was an emotional game for both teams and the road loss in Columbus essentially ends Michigan’s 2017 College Football Playoff dreams.

In the ensuing chaos after Ohio State beat Michigan in double overtime, a Buckeyes fan got right up in the face of Michigan’s best player linebacker Jabrill Peppers. Peppers wanted no part of that fan and things got very physical between the two.

This could ruckus could have been avoided if both gentlemen acted like gentlemen. The Buckeyes fan was a lousy winner by getting in the face of Peppers after the win he had no part in. Why are on the field anyway? You’re not Clemson.

Peppers is obviously upset about losing to arch rival Ohio State yet again. He will likely turn pro after his junior season in Ann Arbor. However, he didn’t need to shove that smaller Buckeyes fan out of the way at Ohio Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Michigan still has an outside shot at getting into the Rose Bowl should the Big Ten get two teams into the 2017 College Football Playoff. However at 10-2 (7-2) on the year, the Wolverines might be on the outside looking in on a New Year’s Six bowl when the conference championship games have been completed.

Michigan had a great 2016 regular season, but the Wolverines were really one year away from competing for a National Championship any way. Head coach Jim Harbaugh needs roughly one more recruiting class to have Michigan ready to rock in future College Football Playoffs. Will he lose Peppers to the 2017 NFL Draft?
