Just a couple of weeks ago, the Pittsburgh Panthers marched into Death Valley and stole a win from the Clemson Tigers. That may have been the turnaround for Pat Narduzzi’s team as it dominated Duke the following week, 56-14.
The bowl eligible Panthers are led by one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the ACC. Nathan Peterman has thrown for 2,351 yards and 22 touchdowns with only five interceptions on the year.
However, the best story on the team has been James Conner, now free of cancer and performing well. He leads the team with 945 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns while Quadree Henderson has also been an effective runner.

Syracuse was 4-4 on the season after wins against No. 17 Virginia Tech and Boston College back-to-back and a bowl game looked likely. Since then, they have lost three straight games and all hopes for postseason play have been dashed.
Unfortunately for the Orange, starting quarterback Eric Dungey might miss a third straight game after suffering a concussion. The sophomore was having a great season but will be relieved by junior Zack Mahoney, most likely.
With the success that Dungey has had through the air, you have to believe there are some receivers benefitting. Amba Etta-Tawo is the main target, catching 81 passes for 1,304 yards and nine touchdowns and Ervin Philips has 79 catches for 715 yards and six scores.
