1. Charlie Strong

It’s pretty much a foregone conclusion at this point, but this list wouldn’t be valid without Charlie Strong. It’s already known he’s getting let go after another inconsistent season for the Longhorns, but it’s the biggest story in college football.

Whether it’s the way Texas seemingly drug him along the last few weeks or the way Strong handled it with complete professionalism, but this story has dominated the discussion. Texas is going all in to get Tom Herman, who is also desired by LSU.

The only question at this point is what is next for Strong’s career? Another team is going to give him a chance. It won’t be a huge program, but there’s going to be a school that sees the way he is respected and take a chance that he can make the competitive with less pressure attached.

The way he has handled himself really goes to show the character that he has as an individual. That’s why everyone roots for him and supports him. It’s hard to get a fan base to stand behind their coach, but Strong is a rare breed.
