High Value SF

Trevor Ariza-Houston Rockets (5,400): While the Houston offense is definitely James Harden’s world, Trevor Ariza has found a nice place in the ecosystem of “The Beard” and become a solid contributor. He has at least 26 fantasy points in three of his last four games and seven of his last nine. He had 18 points for the second game in a row on Sunday finishing with a total of 28.9 fantasy points against the Blazers. Against the Jazz, Ariza only managed 12.8 fantasy points in their first meeting, but I think he’ll fare better tonight even though he’ll still have a tough matchup with Hayward.

Marcus Morris-Detroit Pistons (4,700): Morris has scored in double-digits in four of his last five games and has at least 17 fantasy points in six straight including a 32-fantasy-point outburst against the Celtics a week and a half ago. Morris played 35 minutes on Saturday in Detroit’s most recent game posting 17 fantasy points on 10-5-2. Charlotte is allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing SF, so Morris is a solid mid-range play if you want to avoid the Hayward-Ariza matchup that didn’t end well for either SF last time.

Solomon Hill-New Orleans Pelicans (3,800): Hill is in a great matchup against the Lakers tonight who allow the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing SF. He definitely looks like he’ll get plenty of minutes after playing a massive 42 minutes on Sunday against the Mavs. He finished that game with 9-4-0 and just 18.8 fantasy points, though, so he sometimes plays a lot of empty minutes. That being said, he has at least 14 fantasy points in four straight and is the best cheap flier to roll with at SF if you need to save salary for other investments.
