Florida State. Dalvin Cook. 11. player. 49. . RB
The Green Bay Packers picked up a nice road victory against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football this week, as Aaron Rodgers once again showed that he is still one of the best quarterbacks in football. The trio of Davante Adams, Jordy Nelson, and Randall Cobb could be the best three-receiver tandem in the NFL, but the team is seriously missing a running back. There are a handful of good ones in this draft, but behind Fournette, Dalvin Cook is the next man up.
Cook has had a record-breaking career at Florida State, and is one of the best running backs in the history of the Atlantic Coast Conference. He is an incredibly gifted runner, who has the size to run over people when he needs to. He has the kind of breakaway speed needed at the next level, and would be an instant upgrade over a player like James Starks. Cook can be utilized in the passing game as well, so expect Rodgers to be very happy if they can land Cook next April.
The junior has not declared for the NFL Draft yet, but that is certain to come in the coming weeks. He could be the missing piece the Packers need to return to glory in the NFC. They are currently winning games due to the ability of Rodgers, but he is getting up there in age, and if they do not get him a solid running back, time may run out on another Super Bowl run.
