Malik McDowell. 16. player. 16. . DT. Michigan State

Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan has made his living in the National Football League being an incredible defensive mind. The son of former NFL head coach Buddy Ryan, Rex has brought the same kind of bravado his old man showed to his two stops as a head coach. The Bills have some good players up and down their roster, but they need some help on the defensive side of the ball.

Malik McDowell of the Michigan State Spartans is an interesting player, as he has the ability to play all over the defensive line. He has been relied upon to clog the middle during his time with the Spartans, becoming one of the best defensive tackles in college football. However, he also has the size and speed to play on the outside, which could be his calling at the next level.

The Bills spent the money on making Tyrod Taylor their franchise quarterback, and wide receiver Sammy Watkins and running back LeSean McCoy are stars in the league. McDowell would give the Bills a defensive identity, one that has been lacking in recent years. Ryan could do so much with a player that has McDowell’s skill set, so it will not be surprised if they come knocking in the middle of the first round.
