It is about time for the Washington Redskins to give quarterback Kirk Cousins a contract, because if they don’t, there are plenty of teams out there who would like to have his services. Cousins has been a solid starter since taking over for Robert Griffin III last season, leading the Redskins to an NFC East title in his first year under center. The Skins appear to be in good shape on the offensive side of the ball, but they need help on defense.

One area where they are weak is up front, where they continue to get push around on the defensive line. The organization needs a big body to put in the middle of the defense, and Lowell Lotulelei is one of the best big men in all of college football. The brother of a star defensive lineman for the Baltimore Ravens, the younger Lotulelei may wind up being an even better player than his brother, Star.

Washington plays in a tough conference, and teams like the Dallas Cowboys are only getting younger, and more talented. Ezekiel Elliott ran all over the Skins this past week on Thanksgiving, exploiting what is the weakest part of their roster. They need to go big here, and whether or not it is Lotulelei, the Redskins will not be champs in NFC East again unless they can stop the run.
