Joel Embiid says the court tanked tonight

Tonight’s contest between the Philadelphia 76ers and Sacramento Kings has been postponed due to wetness on the floor and Joel Embiid is having fun with it.
Tonight in Philly, two of the worst teams in the association were set to square off in downtown Philadelphia tonight. Unfortunately, the fans won’t be able to see Joel Embiid and DeMarcus Cousins go head-to-head due to extreme wetness on the court.
The officials at the arena are not sure what caused the wetness, but Joel Embiid is making light of the situation.
Over the past few seasons, the Sixers have been accused of tanking to get top picks in the NBA Draft and it’s worked. During this time period, the Sixers have drafted the likes of Dario Saric, Jahlil Okafor and most recently, Joel Embiid.
In 12 games, the former Kansas Jayhawk has averaged 18.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game. What makes those numbers even more impressive is that he’s doing all of this in only 22.8 minutes per night.
However, Embiid’s plays haven’t translated to wins.
Once again, the Sixers find themselves dead last in the eastern conference standings. Some of this has to do with the fact Embiid is on a minutes restriction, and he typically sits out the second night of back-to-backs. Also, you can throw in the fact top pick Ben Simmons is out until January.
Most importantly, however, this team just isn’t very good. Sure, they have a boatload of talent. Every team in the NBA is talented, but not every team has chemistry and experience, which are two major components this team is missing at this point.

Nonetheless, the future looks very bright, but Sixers fans have been hearing that line for the past several years. With another top pick on the horizon, it’s almost time for this organization to start winning ball games sooner rather than later.
