High Value SF

Trevor Ariza-Houston Rockets (5,400): Ariza struggled against Utah with just 13.25 fantasy points on Tuesday. Before that, though, he had been a solid option with over 29 in three of his previous four games and  over 28 in seven of his previous nine. He’ll look to bounce back against Golden State tonight in a game which could turn into a three-point shooting contest.  Ariza’s shot can be streaky, but he should get enough chances to produce tonight while having to also contend with Kevin Durant on defense.

James Johnson-Miami Heat (4,200): Johnson would be a much more attractive option tonight if he wasn’t in that same matchup that hurt Ariza against Utah and Gordon Hayward. Last night, Johnson had his best fantasy game of the season with 10-7-5 with two blocks and three steals for 35.25 fantasy points against the Nuggets. He played 33 minutes and now has over 30 minutes in four of his last five games. In those four games with expanded playing time, he has scored at least ten points and 20 fantasy points in each. With all Miami’s injuries, he should get lots of playing time again tonight, so give him a look if you have to spend under 5K and just temper your expectations a bit based on matchup. ∗∗

Troy Williams-Memphis Grizzlies (4,200):  Like Miami, Memphis has been gutted by injury which has allowed other players like Troy Williams to step up. The injuries in Memphis include Chandler Parsons, James Ennis, Mike Conley, and Brandan Wright who are all out and Vince Carter who is a a gametime decision again tonight. Williams has played at least 20 minutes in each of his last four games and has at least 16 fantasy points in each contest. His best game during that stretch was against the Heat when he had 18-3-2 for 25.25 fantasy points. He doesn’t have as high a ceiling as Johnson or Ariza, but he should be a nice buy at just over 4K again tonight.∗∗
