The most important player in the 2016 SEC Championship Game could be more like seven guys: the Alabama Crimson Tide front-seven. This is the most dominant unit in college football and its most recognizable player is senior defensive end Jonathan Allen.
Allen and linebacker Reuben Foster decided to come back to school for the senior seasons at Alabama. They each lead their respective levels of this terrifying Alabama defense. While Foster will slow down Scarlett and the Florida game, Allen and his defensive line will dictate this championship football game.
If and when Alabama gets the pass rush going, Appleby is either going to be running for his life in the Florida backfield or spending his entire afternoon on his back. Allen is one of those players that wouldn’t even need to record a tackle to be the most impactful player in a football game.

His leadership and on-field ferocity has elevated this Alabama front-seven into the most formidable unit in football not named the Dallas Cowboys offensive line in the NFL. Allen is a huge reason behind Alabama being such a massive favorite in this neutral-site game against Florida. The Crimson Tide will roll because of the pass rush.
