The Game Awards 2016: New LawBreakers gameplay trailer
The former lead developer of the Gears of War series, Cliff Bleszinski, is back with LawBreakers. A new trailer premiered at The Game Awards.
The Gears of War series is arguably the greatest third-person shooting series of all-time. One of the main developers behind that series is none other than Cliff Bleszinski with Epic Games.
Since Gears of War 3, Bleszinski hasn’t worked on much. With the series no longer in his hands, he’s decided to work on an entirely new venture. His new IP, LawBreakers, is a first-person shooter that looks very promising.
We’ve already seen gameplay of the action packed shooter, but we got a new look at The Game Awards. The new trailer showcases more of the same, which is a variety of characters to choose from, cool abilities and weapons, and a bunch of playable maps.
Check out the new trailer below:
For some, LawBreakers looks like an Overwatch clone. In all honesty, we can’t disagree with them. It looks like your typical arena shooter. But like Overwatch, it has different characters with different abilities. So it definitely gives the player a lot of options.
Then again, with the success of Overwatch, we can’t argue with some developers wanting to duplicate that formula with their own little twist on the genre. Although it may look similar, it definitely has its own uniqueness.
For example, the game features gravity-defying action, which adds a whole new element to the first-person shooter genre. Not only did we see some new gameplay, but it’s also confirmed that new maps, modes and roles will be added to the full game.
