NFL Fantasy Football: Week 13 injury report
By Dan Thomas
We are supplying information on the latest and most important injuries across the NFL and letting you know how it could affect your fantasy football team.
Before you set your fantasy football lineup on Sunday morning, make sure you check the injury report to make sure you aren’t playing someone who is out or hobbled by injury. Conversely, if you have a player dealing with an injury, find out here if you should feel confident putting him in your lineup.
Quarterbacks
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is listed as questionable.
The Spin: Rodgers hurt his hamstring on Monday Night Football against the Eagles last week. With that said, there’s no way he’s missing this game.
Broncos QB Trevor Siemian is listed as out.
The Spin: Although Siemian hasn’t been great, he’s still better than rookie QB Paxton Lynch. The Broncos WRs get a downgrade with Siemian out.
Patriots QB Tom Brady is listed as questionable.
The Spin: He’s playing and he should be in starting lineups if you have him.
Running Backs
Eagles RB Ryan Mathews is listed as out.
The Spin: With Mathews out, Darren Sproles and Wendell Smallwood will handle most of the backfield touches.
Jaguars RB Chris Ivory is listed as out.
The Spin: Ivory is out and T.J. Yeldon will be a game-time decision. If Yeldon can’t go, Denard Robinson would carry the load. Either way, neither of these two are exciting options in season-long leagues.
Lions RB Theo Riddick is listed as questionable.
The Spin: There’s nothing questionable about his status. He’s playing and he’ll be busy on Sunday.
Saints RB Mark ingram is listed as questionable.
The Spin: Ingram will be a true game-time decision. If he can’t go, Tim Hightower will see a monster workload. Even if Ingram is active, Hightower should still be heavily involved in the offense.
Raiders RB Latavius Murray is listed as questionable.
The Spin: Don’t worry because he’s playing.
Wide Receivers
Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin is listed as out.
The Spin: With Maclin out, Tyreek Hill will once again lead the Chiefs passing attack along with tight end Travis Kelce.
Dolphins WR DeVante Parker is listed as questionable.
The Spin: Parker is another true game-time decision. If he is active he more than likely won’t see a full complement of snaps. He’s a WR3/4.
Eagles WR Jordan Matthews is listed as questionable.
The Spin: The Eagles No.1 WR very much could sit out this game. Even if he is active, there’s a chance his snaps are reduced or he aggravates the injury. Proceed with caution.
Rams WR Tavon Austin is listed as doubtful.
The Spin: He’s not much of a fantasy asset this year but if you had him starting in deeper leagues, you need a replacement.
Lions WR Marvin Jones is listed as questionable.
The Spin: Even if he is active, I’m not sure owners want him in their starting lineups. He’s really fallen off since the start of the year.
Bills WR Sammy Watkins is listed as questionable.
The Spin: He should be playing just like last week but there’s not a clear indication how many snaps he’ll be playing. He’s a boom-or-bust WR3.
Raiders WR Michael Crabtree is listed as questionable.
The Spin: He’s playing and he gets a good matchup this week. The Panthers are dealing with injuries at every level of their defense.
Chargers WR Tyrell Williams is listed as questionable.
The Spin: Even though he’ll be at less than 100%, he’s playing. His shoulder injury could restrict him but he’s still in the WR2 conversation.
Tight Ends
Jaguars TE Julius Thomas is listed as doubtful.
The Spin: Surprise, surprise. Thomas is going to miss another game with an injury. He should be on the waiver wire.
Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski is listed as out.
The Spin: With Gronk out, Martellus Bennett will be the Patriots starting tight end for the rest of the season. He hasn’t done much since his three-touchdown performance back in Week 5. However, he still has upside just by starting in the Patriots offense.
Redskins TE Jordan Reed is listed as out.
The Spin: With Reed out, Vernon Davis will start at tight end for the Redskins. He gets a tough matchup against the Cardinals but with players like Gronkowski, Reed and Delanie Walker out this week, he’s still a back-end TE1.
DFS Nuggets
Over the last two weeks, Patriots rookie wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell has totaled three touchdowns. It’s not a coincidence he did it while Rob Gronkowski was out. With Gronk out again, Mitchell is a cheap option with a high ceiling.
The Bills secondary will be without starting cornerback Ronald Darby. It’s an upgrade for Derek Carr and the Raiders passing game.

The Bills will be without Percy Harvin, Robert Woods and Sammy Watkins will be less than 100%. Marquise Goodwin and his 4.27, 40-time is a cheap play who should see an increase in targets.
If Jaguars running back T.J. Yeldon is inactive, Denard Robinson makes for a decent play. He is cheap and the Broncos run defense is beatable. At the very least, he should have volume on his side.
