Here’s what the projected College Football Playoff rankings look like after the Washington Huskies won the Pac-12 Championship.

With the College Football Playoff officially being announced Sunday, conference championship weekend is the last chance for teams to impress the committee and earn their way into the big dance. On Friday night, the Washington Huskies took care of business and defeated the Colorado Buffaloes by a score of 41-10 in the Pac-12 Championship Game.

With the impressive win, the Huskies should grab the final spot in the College Football Playoff. Assuming that Clemson takes care of business against Virginia Tech in the ACC Championship, the Huskies should be the No. 4 seed against No. 1 Alabama. Here’s how the projected College Football Ranking looks after Washington’s win.

The Ohio State Buckeyes seem like a lock for the No. 2 seed although a lot can still happen with the committee. At this point, it seems likely the top four teams will remain the same so long as Clemson takes care of business on Saturday.

If the Tigers indeed get defeated, then there’s an argument that either Michigan or the winner of the Big Ten Championship Game will get the final spot in. So chaos hasn’t completely left the picture yet in college football, but it’s almost had the door closed shut on it.

The big thing is that Washington did their job and impressed on all sides of the ball. That should be enough for the committee to put them in and give them their chance to take on the Crimson Tide on the big stage.
