A look at how to watch Saturday evening’s game between the Oregon Ducks and the Savannah State Tigers.
Saturday will see a handful of college basketball games take place, including a few Pac-12 matchups. One of those will see the No. 23 Oregon Ducks take on the Savannah State Tigers.
The Ducks started off the season up and down. They went win-loss-win-loss in their first four games, but have since turned things around. This started with a win over Tennessee and led to four consecutive wins to get them to 6-2. Doing this got them back into the AP Poll, which they should be able to lock down their spot in with the Savannah State game, and potentially against Alabama and Montana.
In Oregon’s most recent game, they demolished Western Oregon, 93-54. This included having a 28-point lead at halftime, which got extended by another 11 points in the second half. Dillon Brooks had 21 points off the bench and shot eight for 13 from the field. Forward Chris Boucher also had 14 points and eight rebounds to be the Ducks’ most effective player from the starting lineup.
Savannah State stands at just 2-7 and shouldn’t be the most difficult of opponents for Oregon. Opponents have scored at least 93 points against them in every game this season, which isn’t a recipe for success in college basketball. They have knockdown three-point shooters in Dexter McLanahan, Troyce Manassa, and Austin Dasent to lead this high-powered offense, but they can’t stop anybody.
