The Oakland Raiders will host the Buffalo Bills in an AFC matchup this Sunday. For the Bills, they need to win to stay alive in the playoff race.

The Buffalo Bills will head to the west coast this weekend, as they take on the red-hot Oakland Raiders at the Oakland Coliseum.

The Raiders have won eight straight games, and come into the game as the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoff seeding. The Bills are still fighting for their playoff lives, and a win in Oakland would be huge as they try to keep pace with the rest of the conference.

In order to win on Sunday, the Bills are going to have to keep Raiders quarterback Derek Carr contained, which has proved to be quite a task this season. Not only is Carr putting up MVP numbers, but he has shown the uncanny ability to bring his team back late in games.

Last week, the Raiders were losing to the Carolina Panthers by eight points in the fourth quarter, but managed to score 10 straight points to get the three-point victory.

More on FanSided:

The Bills got Sammy Watkins back this past weekend, as Tyrod Taylor will now have his best target at his disposal. Watkins is still a bit injured this week, but head coach Rex Ryan expects him to play against the Silver and Black. Running back LeSean McCoy had a monster game last week in the team’s win against Jacksonville, rushing for two touchdowns.

There is so much on the line for both teams in this game, as the Raiders will be trying to hold onto their lead in the AFC West. The Bills, at 6-5, are in the middle of the playoff race, and a loss could spell the end of their season. Look for a ton of points in this one, as both offenses have the ability to put up numbers in bunches.

Highlights

Highlights will be posted throughout the game.

Three Stars Prediction

1. Derek Carr

There is no stopping Derek Carr this season, not even a mangled pinkie finger. Last weekend, Carr suffered a gruesome injury at the beginning of the second half, only to bring his team back to a late victory. He is one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL, and on Sunday, he will make the Buffalo Bills his next victim.

2. LeSean McCoy

LeSean McCoy was running downhill last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars, as he put together one of his best games of the season. The Raiders do not have a great defense, and like he did last week, McCoy should be able to find the end zone on Sunday. Expect a big day out of the running back, even if it is in a losing effort.

3. Amari Cooper

Cooper has had a tremendous sophomore season, though he does not find the end zone nearly as much as he should. He is such an unselfish player that you would never know it, but this is the week he finds the end zone twice. He will have good matchups all game long, and should burn the Bills’ secondary for a big gainer or two.
