Texans at Packers: Highlights, score and recap
The Houston Texans look to keep their division title hopes alive when they visit the Green Bay Packers in Week 13. Here’s an updated list of the highlights and score updates.
Despite less than stellar records, thanks to mediocre divisions, the Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers each still have a good chance of making the postseason. In Week 13, Green Bay (5-6) hosts the visiting Texans (6-5) at Lambeau Field. Green Bay needs a win to keep the pressure on the Detroit Lions while Houston needs a win to force the Titans and Colts to keep winning.
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are coming off an impressive Monday Night Football win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Sure, Philly wasn’t at full strength, but credit Green Bay for getting a win when they needed it the most. Their offense ranks just outside of the top 10 in average points with 24.9 (11th) and average total yards with 364.9 (11th). Rodgers has struggled at times this year, but he still leads the NFL’s seventh best passing attack (266.7 yards per game).
On the other side of the field, Houston will be hoping to turn this game into a defensive showdown. A low scoring game suits the Texans with their defense, which allows the fifth fewest yards per game in the NFL. Brock Osweiler and Lamar Miller will look to take advantage of a Green Bay defense that has been unimpressive at times.

Three Stars
- Aaron Rodgers: Green Bay lives and dies through their gunslinger. Just how important is he to the success of the Pack? Of the 31 offensive touchdowns they have, Rodgers is directly responsible for 30 of them (27 passing and three rushing). Even though he’s facing a very impressive Texans defense, he tends to shine brightest against the best. So expect a big game from Rodgers.
- Davante Adams: Credit Davante Adams for stepping up in recent weeks. Because Jordy Nelson hasn’t been himself all season, Rodgers has been looking for a new favorite target. Against the Eagles, Adams solidified his case for that title with a two touchdown performance.
- Lamar Miller: A strong running game has been the bread and butter for the Houston Texans since Gary Kubiak was their head coach. This hasn’t changed one bit under Bill O’Brien. But now, instead of Arian Foster, the Texans have Lamar Miler. He has accounted for 1,032 total yards and four touchdowns. Expect him to have a big day.
