If there is anyone out there hoping Jose Bautista stays with the Toronto Blue Jays, then this news from Tuesday will make you pleased
As the 2016 MLB Free Agency period moves along here in the month of December, the growing consensus has been that slugger Jose Bautista would be moving on from the Toronto Blue Jays. Just as early as Tuesday it was reported that the Los Angeles Dodgers were showing some pretty significant interest, making a move all the more likely.
Well, it appears that there was also something that took place on Tuesday, and this happening is probably something Blue Jays fans want to hear.
According to MLB insider Jon Heyman, Bautista met with his current team on Tuesday, and they may be getting talks back on the right track.

As the free agency period continued, many were waiting to see whether or not the two sides would get together for an effort to reunite, and that has indeed taken place it would seem.
Bautista is testing the free agent market following another season in which he helped lead the Blue Jays to the postseason. They came up short in their pursuit of a World Series appearance, but it was still a solid run and Bautista was once again at the forefront of that.

However, at 36 years old, there have been some questions as to how many teams would be willing to pony up top dollar for the slugger. It would certainly be a risk, but Bautista has shown that he can still be a force at the plate for a potential playoff contender.
In helping lead the Blue Jays to the playoffs last season, Bautista batted .234 with 22 home runs and 69 runs driven in.
