After dwelling in the bottom of the league to begin the year, things have improved –slightly — for the Washington Wizards. DC’s team has lost two straight, but they were close games against two of the better teams in the Western Conference (nine-point loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder at home and a two-point loss to the San Antonio Spurs on the road). The best stat for the Wizards so far this year is that their stellar backcourt duo of John Wall and Bradley Beal have only combined to miss five of the team’s 18 games so far. If they keep that rate up, and knowing those two it’s more likely than not they’ll miss more games this year, the Wizards will get 60 games with both Beal and Wall on the floor. That is right around the average for these two over the last two seasons. 60 games being the norm is a problem and hopefully the Wizards can take a step in the right direction to avoid it from becoming too commonplace. Wall and Beal have the talent to be two of the best players at their positions. With decent health and help from their supporting cast, this should be a team that makes its way into the playoffs. Only time will tell if that’s anything more than a pipe dream for this team.. 6-12. Previous: . Washington Wizards. 24. team. 142
