2. Buffalo Bills

A few days ago, Deshaun Watson may not have been an option for the Buffalo Bills. They extended Tyrod Taylor four months ago and are only in the second season of him as the starter at quarterback. However, head coach Rex Ryan recently made comments on Taylor that would indicate they’re not sold on him as the future, according to ESPN. He’s due $30 million if the team decides to pick up his 2017 option.

Taylor hasn’t done anything spectacular this season with 2,292 passing yards and 11 touchdowns. He has also protected the ball pretty well (five interceptions). But if the team won’t pay the Virginia Tech product and continue to fall in the standings (they’re 6-6), maybe they will be considering outside options in 2017.

Watson would certainly be an option for the Bills, if he falls past the top 10. The team has Cardale Jones already, but he’s far from a guarantee to be their man of the future. Watson has more arm talent than the former Ohio State star and would bring the team their first look at a potential franchise quarterback in years. He’s better than EJ Manuel, too, who went in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, despite being a projected mid-round selection. Taylor usurped him in training camp before the 2015 season.

The only issue with Buffalo taking Watson is they may have to trade up to get him. His stock could rise in the coming months like other quarterbacks in the past. This would make him a candidate to go in the top 10 — maybe even the top five.
