J.J. Watt wears Penn State clothes after losing bet to Devon Still (Photo)
Former Wisconsin player J.J. Watt had to pay up after losing a bet to former Penn State player Devon Still when the Badgers lost the Big Ten Championship Game to the Nittany Lions.
Unless you’ve been watching Papa John’s commercials, you haven’t seen much of J.J. Watt this year. The Houston Texans defensive end and three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year is out with an injury and the Texans and the NFL as a whole have missed the incredibly marketable player.
Watt did, however, find time to make an appearance on Twitter thanks to his Texans teammate Devon Still with who he lost a friendly wager. Watt’s Wisconsin Badgers played Still’s Penn State Nittany Lions in the Big Ten Championship and the loser would have to wear the winning team’s gear.
Penn State beat Wisconsin to take the Big Ten championship and a berth in the Rose Bowl, a nice consolation prize after missing out on the College Football Playoff. And now it’s Watt who has to be a man and honor his wager with his teammate.
Still shared a picture of Watt in a Penn State winter hat and a Penn State shirt with a scowl on his face like he was ready to sack Andrew Luck.

Watt, ever the good sport, replied in kind to Still’s picture and said, “A bet is a bet. Best wishes to your boys in the Rose Bowl.” Of course, he had to include the hashtag On Wisconsin.
I love these guys don’t forget where they came from and are prideful of their alma maters. This has to be the most common wager in professional sports with guys forcing losers of bets to wear the gear of their rival or the team that beat them in a championship or bowl game.
Gambling isn’t allowed in the NFL, but I love that these type of wagers are.
