After 14 years of falling short, Army finally defeated Navy and Twitter had plenty to say about the upset win in Baltimore.
In what is always one of the biggest games of the year each season, Army finally defeated the Navy Midshipmen. The latter had won the big rivalry game every year since 2002 and they felt strong about their chances to make it 15 straight.
However, the Black Knights would take the lead late in the game after Ahmad Bradshaw scored a touchdown on a nine-yard run. The defense would hold Navy to a punt on the ensuing drive and they would then ice the game on offense.
The Army bench would begin to celebrate and the West Point cadets would storm the field to celebrate with their team on the field. With a 14-game winning streak coming to an end, Twitter hand plenty to say after Army won.
Congratulations to Army for finally snapping their losing streak against my Navy. Helluva game. You guys earned the win. #ArmyNavyGameDay

I wanted Navy to make it 15, but I'm excited for Army because that's an amazing streak to break!

It was an emotional scene on the field after the game for the Black Knights. With the losing streak finally over, they got to celebrate with their fellow cadets on the field and got the honor of singing last finally.
Verne Lundquist quipped in his final call that there were more people on the fields than in the stands. The scene on the field was one to behold and itโs one that will be remembered in this rivalry for a long time.
There arenโt many college football games quite like this one and it showed just how big of a game it really is on Saturday. A late touchdown and a heroic effort created for a celebration that will last a while.
