DraftKings NBA Picks for December 10

We have our most busy Saturday of the year now that college football is over. We have ten games in the main DraftKings tournaments. Plenty of stars are in play, so which ones should we pay for? The M*A*S*H* unit known as the Miami Heat continues to saturate the bargain market.

Don’t forget to follow @fantasycpr on Twitter for lineup updates as we get them leading to the tipoffs of the games! I am not always able to get back in here and fix my picks when someone sits for the night, but we will update it on Twitter.

More from DraftKings

I am going to change one little thing. I usually create two DraftKings lineups, so I am going to start posting the both of them since the one I post usually winds up being the lower scoring of the two.

If you want a second opinion, head on over to Fantasypros. They will use their algorithm to help you find the best bang for the buck. They can also be customized to do the turbo and late tournaments, and they will also build around your favorite stack!

If you would like to try DraftKings for the first time, use this link for the referral bonus! It is good for a free entry into the Fantasy Football Millionaire contest. We have plenty of advice on the site to help you turn that free entry into a solid bankroll!

Point Guards

Best Bets:

John Wall ($9,000): Wall disappointed against Denver on Thursday, but he just went cold from the field. It is a little concerning that it happened the game after his 52 point outburst against Miami. Still, Wall only needs 45 DraftKings points for 5x value, a mark that he has hit in five of his last six games. Milwaukee is in the middle against point guards, so I expect Wall to be back in that area tonight.

Damian Lillard ($8,400): Lillard was shut down by Memphis, but that can be expected. Tonight he draws a Pacers team that he hung 58.75 DraftKings points on in the first meeting. If he comes within ten points of that, his night will be considered a success.

Honorable Mention:

Kemba Walker ($7,500): Walker has not been above 40 DraftKings points since November 26th, but a matchup with Cleveland, who is fifth worst in the league against point guards, could change that. Then again, Walker only put up 33.5 DraftKings points on the Cavs in their first meeting.

Goran Dragic ($7,300): Dragic’s price dropped because of this matchup with the Bulls, but his usage wont. He is a lock for 5x value as one of the few healthy bodies in the Heat backcourt. Use him while the Heat are still running him ragged.

Dark Horses:

Jeff Teague ($6,500):Teague has been inconsistent in his first year with the Pacers, but he racked up 44.75 DraftKings points against the Blazers at the end of November. He only needs 33 for 5sx value. He should be a long ways above that once again.

Tyler Johnson ($5,600): Wayne Ellington went cold last night. Johnson was there to pick up the slack. Johnson racked upĀ 27.75 DraftKings points. Ellington was held to only 14.75 DraftKings pointsĀ . Will that be a trend again tonight? I don’t know for sure, but I do know that Johnson is a much safer option if you can afford him.

D.J. Augustin ($3,700): There are a lot of cheap options, so why Augustin? Well, Andrew Harrison is really struggling. So is Wade Baldwin. Elfrid Payton has been way too inconsistent off the bench. He only needs 23 DraftKings points for 5x value, but he has missed that mark in four of six games. In the games that he didn’t miss? Payton had 55 and 24. There is no in between. Payton is the lottery ticket. Augustin is the consistent performer. Augustin has hit 5x value inĀ six of his lastĀ eight games.

My pick:Ā Lillard(PG), Johnson(G); Teague(PG), Johnson(G)

Shooting Guards

Best Bets:

James Harden ($11,300):Ā Harden still put up 5x value last night against the Thunder, even though he was overshadowed by yet another Westbrook triple-double. This will be a bit of a tough matchup for Harden again, but Dallas is still a little thin at guard. Harden may not be quite the one man gang that Westbrook is, but he’s close.

C.J. McCollum ($6,900): McCollum is mostly a shooter, but he has shot well enough to hit 5x value in six of his last eight games. He put up 39.75 DraftKings points against the Pacers during that streak, so there is good reason to believe he can make it again.

Honorable Mention:

Bradley Beal ($6,900): Beal put up his second game of 5x value in three tries against the Nuggets on Thursday. Tonight he gets another good matchup against the Bucks. The bad part here is that if Wall performs well, Beal is usually below value and vice versa. No way I’m using both of them until they can coexist.

Dwyane Wade ($6,500): Wade has hit 5x value or more in nine of his last ten games. He is averaging 38 DraftKings points per game over that span. As long as Wade is rolling like this, he make a strong play. And he is playing a team that slighted him in his home city. There is potential for a big game here.

Dark Horses:

Sean Kilpatrick ($5,600): Kilpatrick has emerged as one of the more consistent players on the Nets. He has hit 5x value or more in each of his last eight games. He is one of the least risky mid-range options available, and he has proven to have a fairly high ceiling.

Tony Allen ($4,600): Allen has always been overlooked in fantasy circles because he is pretty much a defense only guy. That has changed with all of the injures that the Grizzlies have going on. Allen has hit 5x value or more in four out of the last five games. Expect a sixth against Golden State, who just managed to outscore everyone. Their defense has actually been on the bad side of average so far this year at nearly every position.

My pick:Ā Allen(SG); Wade(SG)

DraftKings
Nov 26, 2016; Washington, DC, USA; San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard (2) dribbles the ball as Washington Wizards center Marcin Gortat (13) looks on in the third quarter at Verizon Center. The Spurs won 112-100. Mandatory Credit: Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Small Forwards

Best Bets:

LeBron James ($9,400): James has racked up 213 DraftKings points over his last four games. That leaves him right at 5.5x value. He put up a princely total of 44.5 in his first tilt with Charlotte, but the way he is going right now, I expect him to be above 50 again so long as the Cavs don’t rest him.

Kawhi Leonard ($8,300): Leonard’s price is suppressed because of a five game run in which he didn’t top 37 DraftKings points. He has been right at 5x value in the last two games. Expect him to blow past it tonight against a Nets team that will have no answer for Kawhi.

Honorable Mention:

Paul George ($8,000): George has been on a nice run lately, averaging a shade above 5x value in his last nine games. He missed the game against the Pacers two weeks ago with an inury. Look for him to show them how much he missed them tonight. George’s value slides up to 5.6x in the four games since he returned from said injury.

Jabari Parker ($6,400):Ā Parker has topped 40 DraftKings points twice in the last three games. HIs minutes are starting to increase again, but everything besides Giannis is a question mark for the Bucks it seems. Play Parker while he is hot!

Dark Horses:

Harrison Barnes ($6,200): If you ignore that ugly six turnover outing against Dallas on December 7th, Barnes has been terrific with Dirk Nowitzki out. He has scored more than 40 DraftKings points three times in seven games, and topped 5x value in two others. All that’s left is the clunker against the Kings and a slightly below average outing against Kawhi Leonard and the Spurs. He should be a nice play against Houston tonight.

Joe Ingles ($4,400): Ingles racked up 43.25 DraftKings points with seemingly half the roster hurt against Golden State. George Hill and Derrick Favors will likely still be out, but keep an eye on the situation. If either Rodney Hood or Gordon Hayward sit again, Ingles goes from an interesting play to a must play.

My pick:Ā Parker(SF), Ingles(F) switching to Richard Jefferson if LeBron rests; George(SF)

DraftKings
Dec 2, 2016; New Orleans, LA, USA; LA Clippers forward Blake Griffin (32) looks to set a play as New Orleans Pelicans forward Terrence Jones (9) defends during the second quarter at the Smoothie King Center. Mandatory Credit: Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Power Forwards

Best Bets:

Blake Griffin ($8,500):Ā Keep an eye on Griffin’s status leading up to game time. Griffin is listed as questionable with a sore knee, but if he plays, he is worth rostering. Griffin put up 50.5 DraftKings points on the Pelicans in their first meeting. Anthony Davis? 37.5. That is why I am fading A.D. tonight. However, if Griffin doesn’t play, all systems are go for Davis. The Clippers are the only team that has slowed him down in the last three weeks.

Kevin Love ($7,800):Ā Love’s questionable designation last night turned into 60 DraftKings points. Not bad, huh? That said, be aware of Love sitting out. If he plays though, Love is worth using. He had 40.5 DraftKings points against the Hornets in the first meeting.

Honorable Mention:

Draymond Green ($7,700):Ā The Grizzlies are the best in the league against small forwards, so I will lean towards using Draymond instead. He is Kevin Durant light this year, with Durant taking up a lot of his all around stat stuffing abilities. It’s not that Green doesn’t stuff the stat sheet anymore. He just has to share the stuffing with Durant.

JaMychal Green ($5,900):Ā Green scored just six points against Portland on Wednesday, but he still scored 32 DraftKings points. That is a testament to what a good all around player he has grown into. Green has only been below 5x value twice in the last ten games. Neither of those were games in which Zach Randolph played. Green has a high floor, which makes him a rarity for cheap players.

Dark Horses:

Trevor Booker ($5,700):Ā If you are a regular to this column, you know that Booker finds his way into my lineup quite often. His rebounding ability makes him a constant double-double threat. Only foul trouble against Milwaukee on December 1st kept him from eight straight games with 5x value. He still ended up just a shade below that. I don’t mind that he is playing a San Antonio team that is in the top five in defense of power forwards. At this price, he will still be around 5x value.

Zach Randolph ($5,400):Ā Randolph has adjusted very well to a bench role this year. Green has grown into the starter role, and a fresh Randolph is terrorizing second teams after a down year last year. It really is a win-win for both players and the team as a whole. Yes, even in the fantasy realm. You can count on at least 20 DraftKings points for Randolph. He hasn’t missed that mark in over a month.

My pick:Ā Green(PF); Green(PF), Booker(F)

DraftKings
Nov 29, 2016; Brooklyn, NY, USA; Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez (11) watches from the bench during the third quarter against the Los Angeles Clippers at Barclays Center. Mandatory Credit: Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Center

Best Bets:

DeMarcus Cousins ($10,300):Ā If you have been fading Cousins lately, you are likely losing money. The last time Cousins was below 5x value was on November 20th against the Raptors. He was 7-22 from the floor in that one. That may never happen again. In fact, he has only been under 5x value just that once since the first ten days of the season.

Rudy Gobert ($7,000):Ā Gobert has been a force over the last three games with Utah shorthanded. Of course, they were all against teams that struggle in the inside. He gets another tonight in Sacramento, so expect Gobert in the 40’s again like he has been the last three nights.

Honorable Mention:

Brook Lopez ($6,400):Ā Brolo looks very underpriced right now. He has settled into his 28-34 minutes per game, and has made the most of them. Lopez has had over 44 DraftKings points in three of his last five games. Against the Spurs, it iwll like be four of six.

DeAndre Jordan ($6,300):Ā Jordan doesn’t have the upside that Lopez does, but he is arguably more consistent. He has not been much of a scorer this year, but you can’t question his rebounding or blocking prowess.

Dark Horses:

Pau Gasol ($5,400):Ā Pau has flown under the radar for the Spurs for most of the season, but he has quietly been over 5x value in four of his last six games. The Nets are the third worst team defending the interior, and the Spurs aren’t much better. Look for plenty of points in the paint in this one.

Mason Plumlee ($5,300):Ā Plumlee struggled a little against Memphis, breaking a streak of ten straight games over 5x value. Who knew that he had been so strong in Portland? Most of the attention there goes to the guards, but Plumlee is a great source of value so far this year.

Greg Monroe ($4,400):Ā Monroe has scored 122 DraftKings points in his last four games. That leaves him at 7x value. If you need to go cheap, Monroe looks like one of the best picks right now.

My pick:Ā Cousins(C), Monroe(UTIL); Lopez(C), Gasol(UTIL)
