Cowboys at Giants: Highlights, score and recap
On Sunday Night Football, the Dallas Cowboys will take on the New York Giants. Here’s an updated list of score updates and highlights.
Sunday Night Football in Week 14 features one of the NFL’s most classic rivalries. The New York Giants (8-4) take on the NFC East-leading Dallas Cowboys (11-1). The game is at MetLife Stadium and starts at 8:30 p.m. ET. Should the Giants want to keep their scant division title hopes alive, Sunday is a must-win game.
Dallas enters this game hoping to continue their 11-game winning streak and they’ll be out for revenge, as their lone loss this season came against New York in Week 1. Though Dallas lost 20-10, they also dropped several would-be touchdowns and lost in the last seconds after Terrance Williams couldn’t get out of bounds to stop the clock. The Cowboys have one of the NFL’s top offenses thanks to rookie quarterback Dak Prescott and rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott who are in the running for MVP.
However, Dallas will have their hands full against the Giants. Even coming off a Week 13 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Giants have an effective offense. Eli Manning, if given time to throw, can be a very effective quarterback and Odell Beckham Jr. is among the NFL’s best receivers. Dallas must limit him or put pressure on Manning via the pass rush and find ways to move the ball down the field against an extremely effective Giants defense.

Three Stars
1. Dak Prescott
For Dallas to win, their quarterback will have to have a big day and he is quite capable of doing so. However, with the Giants allowing the fifth fewest rushing yards per game, it will be up to him to get going early so things will be easier for Elliott. New York’s pass rush (13th in the NFL in sacks) will try to make life difficult for him in a hostile environment. This will be a good test for Prescott, but it’s one he should pass.
2. Cole Beasley
By no means is Beasley the most talented receiver on Dallas because Dez Bryant holds that title. However, Beasley is Prescott’s most trusted target, leading the team in receptions (60) and receiving yards (670). While Bryant has been a great downfield threat, Cole is a terrific route runner and has great chemistry with his rookie quarterback so expect a big day for him.
3. Odell Beckham Jr.
The Cowboys have been very susceptible to big plays on defense as they allow 276.2 passing yards per game, which ranks 29th in the NFL. New York’s hopes of winning rely on Manning and Beckham who tends to save his best performances for the big games, so a 100-yard performance shouldn’t surprise anyone.
