Manchester United faces Tottenham at Old Trafford on Sunday, Dec.11. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Upon the arrival of Jose Mourinho as manager and the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba, Manchester United was penciled in as the Premier League favorites by many. On the pitch and on paper are two different things, though, and that’s played out for Man U.
After digging themselves a hole, they now face an uphill climb to the top of the table where their talent level dictates they should reside. That climb brings Tottenham Hotspur to Old Trafford on Sunday for a huge fixture on Match Day 15.
The last time that Manchester United won a match in league play was now over a month ago. In the three matches since, it’s been three draws for the Reds, staying deadlocked with Arsenal, West Ham, and Everton through 90 minutes.
Subsequently, this team needs a tremendous lift from one of its many stars, be it a veteran like Ibrahimovic or Wayne Rooney, or from a young stud like Marcus Rashford. Either way, this match against Tottenham is huge as they sit one spot ahead of Manchester United in the table at fifth.
Despite residing just one position ahead of Man U, Tottenham has been far more impressive and inspiring. That’s why their one-position lead over the Reds is actually a six-point cushion. Consequently, a win would merely help Spurs get closer to the top-four rather than them fighting for relevancy in the 2016 season.
Without question, Tottenham would love to see their offense continue pouring it on after netting five against Swansea City last week and nine goals in their last three matches. Harry Kane will have a hand in that, surely. But against the talent of Man U—however flat it may be falling thus far—they’ll need a superb midfield effort from the likes of Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen.
This massive Premier League match will be broadcast on NBCSN on Sunday. Live streaming for the match will be available through NBC Sports. You can access the stream online or through the NBC Sports app by logging in with a cable or satellite subscription.

Mourinho’s side desperately needs a win and three points here. Yes, that would go a long way in helping them make up ground on Spurs and the top of the table. However, this Manchester United squad truly needs a boost in morale and confidence right now. It’s been lackluster throughout, but they’ll need to be more on Sunday to get the win they require.
