team. 35. Running back DeMarco Murray continues his comeback year and enjoyed another productive afternoon in the team’s hard-earned victory. He ran 21 times for 92 yards and his team’s lone touchdown in the three-point win over the visiting Broncos. Fortunately for head coach Mike Mularkey, his defense and ground attack carried the day as quarterback Marcus Mariota had his issues against the Denver secondary. He hit on just six of his 20 throws for 88 yards, was sacked twice and fumbled once. But his team did not commit a turnover and Dick LeBeau’s defenders forced Trevor Siemian to drop back 54 times. The Tennessee defense limited the Broncos to only 18 yards rushing on nine attempts.

Next Week: After knocking off the defending Super Bowl champions at home, the Titans hit the road and hope to cool off one of the hottest teams in the league in the Kansas City Chiefs. Andy Reid’s club has won eight of its last nine games since a humbling 43-14 Sunday night loss to the Steelers in Week 4.

Playoff hopes: At 7-6, the Titans remain tied with the Texans for the AFC South lead. What could come back to cost them is their 1-3 record within the division. All the team can do is keep winning and hope they get some help. And while their 4-5 record vs. the conference is subpar, it includes victories over contenders Miami and Denver.
. 7-6. Previous: .
