RB. Florida State. Dalvin Cook. 13. player. 46.

The Indianapolis Colts missed a golden opportunity this past weekend, as they lost at home to the Houston Texans in a huge AFC South game. Quarterback Andrew Luck played terribly for a Colts team that has been knocking on the door in the division the entire season. Indy is now behind both the Tennessee Titans and the Texans in the race for the division title, and will likely be left out of the playoffs at the end of the regular season.

Luck has been asked to do too much this season behind a broken offensive line, and his running back has gone over the century mark only once this season. Frank Gore has had an impressive NFL career, but he just isn’t a feature back anymore, and the team needs to replace him soon. Florida State running back Dalvin Cook is a fierce runner, who would give the Luck the playmaker he needs standing behind him.

Cook has had a record-setting career at Florida State, and is likely done after another standout season in 2016. He has incredible quickness, and his ability to read his blockers is without comparison in this draft. He also has a second gear that leaves defenses in the dust once he reaches the second level. Luck needs help, and Cook would be perfect for the Colts offense.
